Every day in the small Arizona farming community of Casa Grande, quiet miracles touch the spirits of those who need miracles the most – the hungry, the poor, the lost. Through the vision of one deeply committed Christian, thousands of men, women and children are finding sustenance for not only their bodies but also their souls. “Miracles can still happen,” said Jerry Leastman, with a joyful sparkle in his eyes. He is the visionary behind the MASH Unit (Miracles and Salvation Happening), a compassionate ministry that feeds thousands of hungry people every month. The project is an example of what can happen when a man listens to God’s direction.
